# Checkout APIs will be shut down April 1, 2025

Reminder: The Checkout APIs (Storefront Checkout Mutations and REST Checkout Endpoints) are deprecated and [will be shut off](https://shopify.dev/changelog/deprecation-of-checkout-apis?utm_source=mozart\&utm_medium=email\&utm_campaign=checkoutapideprecation\&utm_content=30daynotice) on April 1, 2025. Customers will not be able to create or complete checkouts using the deprecated Checkout APIs after the deadline.

To prevent disruptions, all impacted apps, including mobile apps, need to [update to the Storefront Cart API](https://shopify.dev/docs/storefronts/headless/building-with-the-storefront-api/cart/migrate-to-cart-api) before April 1, 2025. In addition to the Storefront Cart API, mobile apps can also adopt [Checkout Sheet Kit](https://shopify.dev/docs/storefronts/headless/mobile-apps/checkout-sheet-kit).

*Note: This change is unrelated to the prior move from checkout.liquid to Checkout Extensibility.*
