# Google Analytics 4 in the Google channel app

**New release:** [Google Analytics 4](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10089681) is now available through the Google channel app on Shopify, enabling you to upgrade and take advantage of its enhanced real-time, multi-channel measurement and privacy controls.

Google Analytics 4 is replacing Universal Analytics, which will continue to process data until July 1, 2023 (July 1, 2024 for Analytics 360 properties).
