# No-op for unchanged metafields and metaobjects

Starting today, when updating metafields and metaobjects, we'll skip triggering webhooks and related actions if the new value matches the existing one. This optimization eliminates unnecessary processing and improves system performance. The change is rolling out iteratively across metafield and metaobject operations.
