# Checkout UI extensions: Attributes API now supports removing cart and checkout attributes

You can now use checkout UI extensions to remove cart and checkout attributes using the [**AttributeRemoveChange**](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/checkout-ui-extensions/unstable/apis/attributes#useApplyAttributeChange) property. To remove an attribute during checkout, simply pass the attribute key you wish to remove through this new property.
