# Order Editing API supports discounts on fulfilled line items

You can now apply discounts to line items that have already been fulfilled using the order editing API, resulting in more flexible order adjustments. The [`orderEditAddLineItemDiscount`](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/latest/mutations/orderEditAddLineItemDiscount) mutation now supports discount application to both fulfilled and unfulfilled line items.

* Simplified order management:Orders automatically unarchive when you begin editing and re-archive after issuing refunds, eliminating the need for manual archive management.
