# The Bulk Discounts app will be sunsetted on November 1, 2017

On November 1, Shopify will be sunsetting the Bulk Discounts app. Merchants can continue to use it without any interruptions until then and their existing discounts remain active in Shopify.

We've worked with Space Squirrel, a trusted app partner, to create an alternative with feature parity. We recommend their [Bulk Discount App](https://apps.shopify.com/bulk-discounts) for creating batch discounts. Space Squirrel is offering unlimited discount sets until February 1, 2018, for existing Bulk Discount app users.

We've also improved the PriceRule resource to support [bulk discount code creation](https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/api-announcements/t/price-rules-api-now-supports-bulk-discount-code-creation-473024) for merchants and partners who want to build their own solutions.
