# Validate draft versions of theme app extensions using Theme Check

You can now validate a draft version of a theme app extension using [Theme Check](https://shopify.dev/themes/tools/theme-check).

You can validate the content and structure of your extension by running `shopify extension check` in your theme app extension's project directory. Version 2.1.0 of [Shopify CLI](https://shopify.dev/apps/tools/cli) is required to run this command.
