## Legacy POS Extensions

> Caution:
> As of October 18, 2024, you will no longer be able to create new POS product recommendations and POS cart app extensions.

> As of February 28, 2025, POS product recommendations and POS cart app extensions will be deprecated. Developers and merchants will no longer be able to view or access these extensions in Shopify POS.

> We recommend building with [POS UI extensions](/docs/api/pos-ui-extensions) instead.
