# app init

Create a new app project

#### Flags

The following flags are available for the `app init` command:

* **--auth-alias \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_AUTH\_ALIAS**

  Alias of the Shopify account to use for authentication.

* **--client-id \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_CLIENT\_ID**

  The Client ID of your app. Use this to automatically link your new project to an existing app. In non-interactive environments, provide this flag or both --name and --organization-id.

* **--flavor \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_TEMPLATE\_FLAVOR**

  Which flavor of the given template to use. Required in non-interactive environments when the selected template offers multiple flavors.

* **--json-schema**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_JSON\_SCHEMA**

  Print the command's JSON schemas.

* **--no-color**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_NO\_COLOR**

  Disable color output.

* **--no-input**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_NO\_INPUT**

  Disable interactive prompts and browser authentication.

* **--organization-id \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_ORGANIZATION\_ID**

  The organization ID. Your organization ID can be found in your Dev Dashboard URL: <https://dev.shopify.com/dashboard/>

* **--template \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_TEMPLATE**

  The app template. Accepts one of the following: - \<reactRouter|none>

  * Any GitHub repo with optional branch and subpath, e.g., <https://github.com/Shopify/>

* **--verbose**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_VERBOSE**

  Increase the verbosity of the output. May include sensitive data.

* **-d, --package-manager \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_PACKAGE\_MANAGER**

* **-n, --name \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_NAME**

  The name for the new app. When provided, skips the app selection prompt and creates a new app with this name. Required in non-interactive environments unless --client-id is provided.

* **-p, --path \<value>**

  **string**

  **env: SHOPIFY\_FLAG\_PATH**
