# customerAccessTokenRenew - storefront - MUTATION

## Description
Renews a customer access token.

Access token renewal must happen *before* a token expires.
If a token has already expired, a new one should be created instead via `customerAccessTokenCreate`.


### Access Scopes
`unauthenticated_write_customers` access scope.
