Regain lost status
Your app can lose Built for Shopify status if it fails to meet any required criteria on an ongoing basis.
If your app loses Built for Shopify status, then you'll be notified by email, and/or through the Partner Dashboard.
You can monitor the automated criteria on the Distribution page of your Partner Dashboard to see if your app is at risk of losing status. Manually checked criteria are monitored on an ongoing basis via ongoing reviews of Built for Shopify certified apps
Automated criteria
Anchor link to section titled "Automated criteria"If your app fails to meet certain key criteria, then it will immediately lose Built for Shopify status. These key criteria ensure that your app meets our App Store requirements and uses the newest Shopify technologies. Failing to meet one of these criteria also might trigger an audit of your app.
If your app fails to meet other criteria that track ongoing quality signals, then you have a 60 day grace period to meet the criteria again before your app loses Built for Shopify status. To determine whether your app is failing to meet any of these criteria, view the criteria checklist on the Distribution page of your Partner Dashboard.

Ongoing reviews

If issues are found, then apps will have 60 days to rectify any issues. Apps that don't address failures in time will have their Built for Shopify status removed.
Annual reviews
Anchor link to section titled "Annual reviews"Apps are reviewed annually to ensure they continue to adhere to the Built for Shopify standards. Apps found to no longer adhere to Built for Shopify standards will be notified by email, and will have 60 days to rectify any failures that arise. Apps that do not address failures in time will have their Built for Shopify status removed.
Regain Built for Shopify status

After you regain Built for Shopify status, your app might be audited to ensure compliance with all manually assessed criteria, and ensure that the app meets all current App Store requirements.
