# Deprecated​Global​App​Block​Type

**Deprecated:**

This check only exists in Theme Check `v1.X.X`.

Makes sure that theme sections are not using the [deprecated](https://shopify.dev/changelog/removing-the-global-block-type-in-favour-of-the-app-block-type-in-theme-sections) `@global` block type to support or render app blocks in a section. Sections should use [`@app`](https://shopify.dev/docs/storefronts/themes/architecture/blocks/app-blocks) instead.
