Braintree is now available as a CustomerPaymentMethodRemoteInput

As of API version 2022-07, an input field for Braintree has been added to the CustomerPaymentMethodRemoteInput object, which is used by the customerPaymentMethodRemoteCreate mutation. This field can be used to help you migrate Braintree subscription contracts to Shopify.
