# Checkout branding supports container styles

The Checkout Branding API now supports container styling for sections in the [main](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-04/input-objects/CheckoutBrandingCustomizationsInput#field-checkoutbrandingcustomizationsinput-main) and the [order summary](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-04/input-objects/CheckoutBrandingCustomizationsInput#field-checkoutbrandingcustomizationsinput-ordersummary) areas of checkout. This change is available in the 2024-04 release candidate.

These changes will give merchants more control over section corner radius, border styles, color scheme, spacing and shadow customizations within or between sections. We will be releasing an update to customize the header and footer sections in a subsequent release.
