# Modal API added to the latest version of App Bridge

With the latest version of App Bridge, you can use the [modal](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/app-bridge-library/reference/modal) API with custom DOM content.

You can also use the new max modal variant. This is the replacement for the previous Fullscreen API. Learn more about it in the [documentation](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/app-bridge-library/reference/modal).
