# The `DiscountEffectInput` input object now accepts `amount`

The GraphQL Admin API's [`DiscountEffectInput`](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-01/input-objects/DiscountEffectInput) input object now includes an `amount` field. This change is backported to version 2024-01.
