Session tokens and app listings automatically checked before submitting for app review

Starting January 6, 2025, we are introducing additional preliminary steps in the app review process. These steps will provide immediate compliance feedback on draft apps before they are submitted for review:

Session tokens for embedded apps: To be eligible for submission, embedded apps must use session tokens for user authentication. Learn how to set up session tokens.

App listing reviews: We are implementing AI-enabled reviews for certain requirements in English app listings and screenshots. The AI will assess the following guidelines, while all other requirements will be manually reviewed:

• Do not misuse the App card subtitle.
• Do not include reviews or testimonials.
• Do not use pricing information outside designated areas.
• Do not display statistics or data.
• Do not include links or URLs.
• Avoid using a generic app name.
• Some screenshot requirements: remove reviews and testimonials, remove statistics and data.

While flagged issues with app listing requirements will not block submission, addressing them can help prevent delays.
