# Product duplication now duplicates variant metafields

Product duplication now includes variant metafields. Previously, variant metafields were ignored when products were duplicated. Products can be duplicated via [admin](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/products/duplicate-product) or [GraphQL](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-01/mutations/productDuplicate)
