# Removing the ability to change the tax field data

As of API version 2020-10, we are removing the ability to change any tax field data using the [Country](https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/store-properties/country?api%5Bversion%5D=2020-10) and [Province](https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/store-properties/province?api%5Bversion%5D=2020-10) resources.
