# Payment apps can no longer be embedded in the Shopify admin

As of April 30, 2025, payment apps are no longer eligible to be embedded apps within the Shopify admin. The [Payment Apps requirements](https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/launch/app-requirements-checklist#16-payments-apps) have been updated to reflect this change.
