Anchor to PropertiesProperties
The shopify global object provides the line items in the order. Access the following properties on shopify to read merchandise details, quantities, per-line costs, discount allocations, and bundle line components.
- Anchor to lineslineslinesSubscribableSignalLike<CartLine[]>SubscribableSignalLike<CartLine[]>requiredrequired
A list of line items in the order. Each line includes the merchandise, quantity, cost, custom attributes, and discount allocations.
SubscribableSignalLike
Represents a reactive signal interface that provides both immediate value access and subscription-based updates. Enables real-time synchronization with changing data through the observer pattern. This interface extends `ReadonlySignalLike` with deprecated fields that are still supported for backwards compatibility.
- current
The current value of the signal. Equivalent to `.value`, accessing this property subscribes to changes when used in a reactive context.
T - destroy
Cleans up the subscription and releases any resources held by this signal. After calling `destroy()`, the signal stops receiving updates from the main thread.
() => Promise<void> - subscribe
Subscribes to value changes and calls the provided function whenever the value updates. Returns an unsubscribe function to clean up the subscription. Use to automatically react to changes in the signal's value.
(fn: (value: T) => void) => () => void - value
The current value of the signal. This property provides immediate access to the current value without requiring subscription setup. Use for one-time value checks or initial setup.

string - lineComponents
The individual components of a [bundle](/docs/apps/build/product-merchandising/bundles) line item. Each component represents a separate product within the bundle. Returns an empty array if the line item isn't a bundle.
CartBundleLineComponent[] - merchandise

A discount allocation represents a single discount applied to a specific line item or the overall order. When a discount applies to an order, Shopify splits the total discount amount across the affected line items as individual allocations. For example, a "10% off your order" discount is distributed proportionally across each line item rather than appearing as one lump sum. There are three types of discount allocations: - `CartCodeDiscountAllocation`: A discount applied using a code the buyer entered at checkout (for example, "SAVE10"). - `CartAutomaticDiscountAllocation`: A discount the merchant configured in Shopify admin to apply automatically without a code. - `CartCustomDiscountAllocation`: A discount created programmatically by a [Shopify Function](/docs/apps/build/functions).

Anchor to LimitationsLimitations
- Cart lines don't include fulfillment or shipping status. To determine whether items have been shipped, use the GraphQL Admin API through a backend service.
